Inspired by the wilderness, I've loved taking pictures ever since I received my first (box) camera when I was 12. Over several decades, I have photographed myriad wildlife subjects and scenes on all seven continents, first with slide film and then moving to the digital realm. Awards include best picture and certificates of merit, and several of my pictures have been published.
As an engineer, I am concerned about sustainable use of our natural resources and preservation of the environment in our fossil fuel-based civilization. The pace of moving to renewable energy and energy saving practices is not fast enough and educating children about conservation is key to saving our planet.
